Mario Andrei

Business analysis and AI consultant

Summary

I'm a consultant with a broad toolkit: business analysis, process improvement, and hands-on work with software and AI. I help organizations work out what they need and get it built the way they meant it. I'm as comfortable with stakeholders as with developers, which matters on projects where the two don't always speak the same language.

Experience

  1. Business Analyst

    Atos

    May 2026 - Present · 6 months · Netherlands

    • Translated business needs into clear requirements that development teams could build from.
    • Mapped how processes ran in practice against how they should, then worked out practical ways to close the gap.
    • Sat between stakeholders who think in outcomes and developers who think in systems, and kept both working from the same picture.
  2. Business Analyst

    The Human Specialist

    July 2022 - April 2026 · 3 years 10 months

    • Turned business needs into automated tools, working directly with management on what was worth building.
    • Rebuilt how data synced between systems, which fixed long-standing quality problems and made reporting faster.
    • Ran innovation projects, mostly aimed at customer experience and at catching risk earlier.
    • Coordinated external partners through new IT rollouts in an international DevOps setup.
    • Improved processes and day-to-day usability by fitting IT to the way people worked.
    • Owned the backlog, watched how features performed after release, and pushed adoption where uptake lagged.
  3. Portfolio Manager, LUXE division (BENELUX)

    L'Oréal

    October 2021 - June 2022 · 9 months · Hoofddorp

    • Managed the LUXE product portfolio against KPIs and wrote the management reporting that came out of it.
    • Dug into where the numbers were going wrong and advised management on what to do about it.
    • Worked with supply chain teams to raise service levels on international order distribution.
  4. Improvement Consultant

    CTH (a Darling Ingredients brand)

    July 2020 - October 2021 · 1 year 4 months · Netherlands

    • Mapped logistics processes end to end to find the bottlenecks, then turned each one into a project to fix it.
    • Led improvement projects across departments, which mostly meant getting people to agree on priorities before any work started.
    • Used data and KPIs to make the flow more predictable and give operations something solid to decide on.
    • Applied Lean Six Sigma to prioritize, so effort went where it would pay off most.
  5. Year Representative

    Quest Groningen

    September 2016 - August 2020 · 4 years · Groningen, Netherlands

    • Was the main link between students and academic staff for my cohort.
    • Collected what students were struggling with and turned it into specific points staff could act on.
  6. Pizza Chef

    Happy Italy

    April 2019 - May 2020 · 1 year 2 months · Groningen, Netherlands

    • Made pizzas to order through busy evening shifts and kept them consistent when the tickets piled up.
    • Prepped dough and toppings before service and kept the station clean and stocked.
    • Fit the shifts around full-time study.
  7. Student Assistant

    University of Groningen

    August 2019 - December 2019 · 5 months · Groningen, Netherlands

    • Guided 12 first-year BSc International Business students through their first semester.
    • Worked closely with the professors running the curriculum.
    • Trained for the role through the university's student assistant program.
  8. Food Service Worker

    Domino's

    January 2019 - April 2019 · 4 months · Groningen, Netherlands

    • Prepared orders in the kitchen and worked the counter, mostly during the evening and weekend rush.
    • Worked to the chain's set recipes and delivery time targets.
  9. Representative, EQUIS re-accreditation

    University of Groningen

    March 2018 - April 2018 · 2 months · Groningen, Netherlands

    • One of a small group of students picked to meet the EQUIS committee during the university's three-yearly re-accreditation.
    • Answered the assessors' questions about what it was like to study there.
